Reported by: Dennis Byron: A Fulton County jury deliberated for a total of two days before they returned a unanimous not guilty verdict on the top count of Felony Murder and Malice Murder, which could have sent aspiring rapper and entrepreneur Vinson Hardimon aka Yung Vito to prison for life. Instead the jury returned a guilty verdict on Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon as well as Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. As the jury foreman announced not guilty of the serious counts of murder, there appeared to be a sigh of relief on Mr. Hardimon’s face but that expression immediately changed when the last two lessor counts were announced guilty. Presiding Judge Craig Schwall, Sr. waisted no time in the sentencing phase of the trial. After listening to statements by family members from both sides, he stated that Vinson Hardimon was a dangerous and violent person and for that reason he is sentencing him to 20 years for the Aggravated Assault and 5 years for the gun to run consecutively.
