6. How to Refuse a Police Search

   say they have to get a search warrant before they search, go back inside, lock all your doors, run to your computer, pull out the hard drive, put a magnet to said hard drive, then microwave it.

8. There are numerous times police can LEGALLY enter your residence without a Search Warrant. In Canada, it is clear and observable Case Law that if a 911 call came from the residence, police get to come in and make sure everything’s okay (the case involved hubby answering the door, refusing entry, and his nearly-beaten-to-death wife was found in the bedroom). Fresh pursuit of a criminal is another reason for entry-not seeing a fugitive inside, but following him from outside to inside. It happens.

9. My husband told an officer to not go into our house until he had finished speaking with another officer, and told the 1st one, that when he was done, he would escort him through our house. Of course when the officer went in anyway, we asked for a Sargent on sight and where refused, They took him to jail for refusing entry. He spent 10 hours in a freezing cold cell with only shorts. Yes they did drop whatever bogus charge they came up with, but he was actually the victim of why they were there

12. @MrDeadly25 Problem is that Phoenix is broke and lawyers aren’t willing to take a case that didn’t have bruises, broken bones, etc. I did call a few and discuss it with them, this happened about 3 months ago. So I believe, but will verify, that he has 2 years under the statue of limitations so I haven’t given up, just looking for the right one. It was so madding. 14. @iSTOLEONJESUSxbl legally they cant, but they do..in Bowling Green, Ohio the police were doing what they call a ‘check the welfare’ call and were refused entry into an apartment after arguing with the resident through the door they broke it down, the man went for his gun to protect himself and they shot him to death…so much for checking on his welfare!

17. @MyNana420 Sorry for the late reply, that is unfortunate that lawyers won’t take constitutional civil rights violations but will jump at the sight of an inappropriate scuffle. I hope your situation gets resolved. I really do love history and wish more people did so they would know and appreciate how unique our constitution and country is.
