Meechy Darko – “Kill Us All”

K.U.A.

Flatbush Zombies’ Meechy Darko branches with the solo effort, “Kill Us All”, the first single off his upcoming debut Gothic Luxury, due August 26.

Co-produced by Dot Da Genius, Tyler Dopps and Joshua “Budo” Karp, Darko examines the political and corporate conspiracy theories of the government and ongoing mistreatment of Black Americans. The psychedelic visual, directed by Tyler Serebreni, finds the rapper in a series of dark scenes including a pharmacy, inside a body bag of a hotel, a religious ritual, and a racially profiled traffic stop.

“I had no choice but to make this the most personal thing I’ve ever done because fortunately or unfortunately, I’m in an extremely soul-stirring part of my life right now,” says Meechy on the album. “Who I was yesterday may not be who I am tomorrow. I’m not who I was last week. There’s no telling who I’ll be next year or the year after, so it’s very important to capture this while I can still feel.”
