1. How many of those d’loads were from TRUE Jay-Z fans and not just ppl d’loading the album b/c it was FREE? Sometimes I wont be a true fan of an artist, but I’ll d’load an album just to see if I like it if its free. Just b/c Samsung purchased a million doesn’t mean that a million ppl necessarily d’loaded it. However, judging from the other comments, that wasn’t the case. LL still has the grass roots approach to selling records which IMO is dead in this era of music. I feel what he’s saying though.

Hov gave out millions of albums to fans for free and it leaked before it hit stores, yet he managed to outperform in album sales in his first week. 11. I remember LL when he first came out and I respect LL for his accomplishments in hip hop, so I’m an LL fan. But LL does seems like he’s been bitter for a long time with Jay. And as good of a career LL has had it doesn’t compare to Jay’s. Jay is probably the most all around successful hip hop artist ever.
